Security & Regulation

At Bondford, transparency and trust are at the core of how we operate. We want our clients to fully understand the secure framework in which their financial services are delivered — including who is responsible for what, and how their funds and data are protected.

Our Role:

Bondford Markets Ltd operates as an Introducing Broker, under the regulatory umbrella of several fully authorised and licensed financial institutions.

We are responsible for all front-office activities, including sales, dealing, and client relationship management. This means we act as your primary point of contact and provide the interface through which you access tailored financial solutions.

The underlying regulated services — such as e-money issuance, payment processing, foreign exchange execution, and safeguarding of funds — are provided by our authorised EMI or payment institution partners, with whom you enter into a direct contractual relationship. Bondford Markets Ltd does not provide these regulated services and is not a counterparty to any transaction.

What This Means for You:

  • Bondford is your trusted interface: We guide you through your financial journey, delivering personalised support and market expertise.
  • Our partners handle regulated activities: Licensed institutions ensure your funds are safeguarded and all services comply with financial regulations.
  • You benefit from the best of both worlds: The expertise and responsiveness of Bondford, paired with the security and oversight of Tier 1, regulated financial service providers.

This model allows you to access sophisticated, compliant financial services through a single, streamlined relationship.

Regulated Partners

Our payments and FX services are delivered through Tier 1 regulated partners, authorised and regulated by the FCA and other leading financial regulators globally. These institutions adhere to strict governance, risk management, and compliance standards.

Safeguarding (PSD2)

Our partners comply with the safeguarding requirements outlined under PSD2. Safeguarding ensures customers relevant funds are segregated from company funds where required. Safeguarding accounts are held with reputable banks within the UK and the EEA.

Counterparty Risk

Our partner institutions are financially robust, fully compliant with capital adequacy requirements, and operate purely on a matched principal basis, only entering the market upon client instruction - never trading speculatively or taking proprietary risk.

Systems & Controls

We implement robust security protocols to safeguard your account, supported by advanced technologies designed to protect our systems and your data.

Online
Security

Our online platforms are secured with two-factor authentication, and you maintain full control over user access, permissions, and authorisation rights.

Safeguarding Disclosure:

When funds are posted to your account, in line with regulatory requirements, the regulated payment/e-money institutions who we work with [ALT21, Equals Connect, GC Partners and iBanFirst] safeguard your funds.

This means that the funds shown in your payment account or e-wallet are held at reputable banks or covered by an insurance policy, and most importantly, are protected for you in the event of our partners institutions, or our [Bondford Markets Limited’s], insolvency. Our partners stop safeguarding your funds when the money has been paid out of your account to your beneficiary’s account. If you require a breakdown of the exact amounts of funds you have safeguarded at each of our e-money/payments partners, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Other

At Bondford, acting in the best interest of our clients is a core principle. Where we believe a client’s needs would be better served outside of our introducing broker model — whether due to specific service requirements, regulatory considerations, or product availability — we may introduce the client directly to another regulated financial institution. This can include cases where we are unable to support a particular request, such as digital asset solutions, uncollateralised credit lines, or specialised banking services.
